They are on the right track. A single Facebook like matters a lot in the starting phase of blogging career. To feel more happiness bloggers are trying to find many ways to use social media.

While reading, don’t think that you are the only one who has been in this situation, every blogger has felt.

Whenever my post gets shared I feel as if I have done something great which is worth reading and my readers found it good to share. There are many simple tips to use social media in an effective way.

Killer Tips To Use Social Media Which Tend To Make Your Blog Alive

Why social media? Is there any better reason to use it? Is the advice to be social worthy to follow? Beginners ask many questions related to the use of social media.

I always wonder why Twitter is getting so much attention even though we don’t chat on Twitter. But when I started my blog I was so amazed to use it as a social platform for promoting my blog.

Google+, Twitter, Facebook, Buffer, LinkedIn, and Pinterest are the leading social platforms by the use of which, you can boost up traffic to your blog.

There are many mistakes which are repeated by many bloggers. Beginners treat these networking websites like their personal Facebook account but they should remember that there are some rules to use social media for business.

It is necessary to know about some effective ways by which you can use social media for your blog. I am going to explain few of them.

#1. Don’t Chase Any Famous Blogger

It is noticed that most of the beginners chase successful bloggers. They copy the steps they take. In my opinion, chasing anyone can’t let you do what you really want to do.

You will waste your time to copy those steps. Being you, follow your heart, do whatever you want to do is the better way to explore yourself.

It’ time to show them about your inner talent. Social media is an opportunity for you. More followers tend to more visitors at your blog.

#2. Have Your Intentions Stricken

It is a matter of fact that you need to know your intentions for what you are working so hard.

It is necessary to know that you are sharing your post only to attract people or for self-satisfaction.

How do you feel when you are not self-satisfied and you share your post on any social media network? Ask yourself about it. Try to use social media in a way which can be more specific and remarkable to you and your blog.

#3. Don’t Tweet Without Your Handle

For Twitter users, the most important part to know is that you should never forget to add a Twitter handle. The handle is the name by which you are posting (i.e @yourname ). You have seen many tweets at the last of which it is written as – via @anyname.

It is the Twitter handle. I have done this mistake but a famous blogger, a freelance writer named “Harleena” told me about it.

When you don’t have your Twitter handle then you will not be noticed when someone tweets your blog post. For better use of Twitter.

#4. Focus, Focus, And Focus

To become a better social media user, focusing on your audience is really important. The simple formula to get more attention is the way you figure out the posts at social media.

Join any conversation only when you are ready to provide an information which can make them realize of their opportunity. Social media is the platform at which it is necessary to have an eye on every activity.

#5. Quality Always Matters

As we always mention that quality is the key which can bring quantity with it. If you provide quality content to your readers they will follow you for sure.

Especially in this virtual world, there are many options and people seek for the best. To use social media effectively, beginners should make a commitment to quality which can boost up their follower’s list.

#6. Show Your Presence

The most important stuff to remember is to show your presence to your audience. Be active whenever possible.

People like to connect with an influencer who can provide them more valuable information at a short interval of time.

You can ask any successful blogger about their success rate. In my opinion, this point will be included in their list.

#7. Respond Only When You Know it

There are many people who share many posts without having the knowledge about that. For a social media user, it is necessary to be clear about the link he/she is sharing.

Suppose if you are a blogger and sharing about any content which doesn’t relate to you, if anyone asks you questions related to that topic then how could you answer?

#8. Make Human Bonds

Social media is the place where you will find many people making human relationships. Try to connect with some social media users who are happy to connect with you.

It is easy to sign in to your account and share. But have you ever thought to whom you are sharing? It is great to know as many people as possible.

Networking always leads in any business.

#9. Enjoy The Presence on Social Media

Enjoying your presence on any platform is another major factor which can make you feel satisfied. Enjoy others posts, comment on any post which is valuable.

You will be thanked by many people if you share their post. It is the right time to explore your approach with your heart. Access your mind freely. It’s time to share your stuff and grab the knowledge.

#10. Patience Is What You Need

For every business, patience is required everywhere. You can’t get success just after a blink. Don’t think to get thousands of followers in just a few months.

Work hard, try to know social media better and wait for your turn. Success can’t be achieved at once, you have to wait for the right time. Patience is what you need.

#11. Follow The One Who Interests You

If you find someone interesting related, you should follow that person. You visit many websites in a day, do you remember how many websites were found interesting?

Did you follow them on Google+, Twitter or any other social media platform? You can know about more relevant stuff by following them.

#12. Why People Don’t Share My Content

Reciprocity is the basic rule for every social media platform. If you don’t share others content then how can you expect them to share yours?

Whenever you visit any website to read any post, don’t forget to share it.

#13. Follow Or Favorite The One Who Tweets Your Post

To build up your audience you should follow or favorite who share your content. Try to feel when someone follows you when you share his/her content.

It feels good of that person. A kind of positive image forms into your mind. Be active and don’t forget to approach people who have the same niche.

#14. Give Your Full Info To The Audience

Provide your full information about your organization, address, contact in your profile so that people can find you real. Trust is what you need to build among your audience. To use social media in a better way it is necessary to build trust.

Your Turn To Use Social Media Like A Boosting Tool

Ask yourself before you use social media. For what purpose you are using it? Is reputation matter for you? Be the one who can be known for quality. Quantity and quality both are related to each other.

Why social media? Think and then apply. I don’t think you have to be sure about using it. We all know how it is influential for any kind of business? Still, be sure about it. Make your goals and perfect strategies by which you can conquer your success.

You may face many obstacles in your path but as I have mentioned patience is what you need. Think before you share any content.

It is always recommended that for the effective use of social media you need to learn about it. For every social networking platform, there are some specific ways to elaborate. I would like to tell you that at the present time Twitter and Google+ has the better influence at any business. I would like to hear from you.

  1. Hi Ravi,

Informative post indeed, and thanks for adding those tweet messages here ?

Yes, many new bloggers forget to add their Twitter handle and I don’t blame them because they don’t know how to do it, or whether it is required at all or not. But you are a fast learner and sorted out the issue in no time, which shows your keenness to learn ?

I agree, every social media platform has it’s plus points and being a blogger perhaps you need to devote a limited time on each of them, at least in your initial years till you form a standing or base. It’s not something everyone does, but it’s worked for me as building relationships has always got it plus points I would say.

Like in the recent interview series of Yaro, if you heard him, he feels social media presence isn’t important and he doesn’t even have a large fan following. But such probloggers have either a huge email list or other ways to get backlinks, something that people like us don’t know about, so each one is different I would say and it depends entirely on the time you devote to all this.

Thanks for sharing. Have a nice weekend ?

    1. Hey Harleena,

Firstly I would like to thank you for the appreciation and the credit goes to you. I wouldn’t come to know about Twitter handler if wouldn’t tell me. Being a new user of twitter it was a new thin which i came to know. Truly saying that I was too feeling odd when I noticed many other shares done by Twitter users but being a newbie I didn’t think much about that stuff. But when you told me about my mistake I started seeking for the solution and luckily found it. ?

And yes I have read what Yaro said? He is one of the famous entrepreneur and claim that social media doesn’t have much effect everywhere. As you said about having e-mail list or many other ways to get success. Its can’t be figured out by anyone.

But I have learnt in these few months that social media helps a lot in making human relationships. I have met many famous bloggers like you, Adrienne, Lisa and many else.

Though we can connect by commenting at our blogs but social media keep our connection alive.

      Thanks for your precious comment.

Have an amazing weekend to you too. ?

      ~Ravi

  2. Hi Ravi,

I use twitter and I don’t know about the Handle. I just want to know that how can I tweet with Handle?? Thanks in advance for your response. ?

    Regards!!!

    1. Hi Bhavesh,

When we start using Twitter it’s hard to know about Twitter handle. But as I have explained that Twitter handle is necessary for your Twitter account. Suppose you have your Twitter account with name Bhavesh and someone shares any post of your blog to Twitter then at the end of the tweet it should be followed by your twitter handle i.e ‘via@Bhavesh’.

If you don’t have Twitter handle then how can you come to know that someone has shared your post? It’s something like an address to your post attached to your Twitter account.

Having a Twitter handle will get you notification whenever your post get shared and you can thank those users. Most of users don’t like to share the post without Twitter handle.

I hope you got it. Thanks for your visit.

      Have a great weekend. ?

      ~Ravi

      1. Hey Ravi,

  3. Hi Ravi,

Great tips on using social media and you’re right, it does take time to see the results you want. Most people who get started, think that something is wrong if they don’t see results.

I’ve been using Pinterest for about a year and I am finally starting to see some good results from it. Of course it’s my fault that it took so long because I was trying to be on all the social media channels at once.

I’ve found it a lot easier to learn a platform when I actually focus on that platform. Now that I’ve been spending more time learning Pinterest, I am actually learning how to use it effectively.

But just like anything else in blogging, it just takes consistent practice.

I always make it a point to share the posts that I comment on. I figure if I take the time to comment, then I owe it to the blog owner to share their content.

Thanks for taking the time to share these tips.

    Have a great day ?

    Susan

  4. Hi Ravi,

Your tips on how the use social media effectively to boost your blog are breathtaking. In fact, I’m so particular of #8, “make human bonds.” This strategy is incredibly fascinating. Why? Because creating relationships with like minded individuals in your industry is more like setting yourself up for the long run.

There are amazingly many different ways to create human bonds, of which if one should implement them, I won’t say the sky is the limit because there are foot steps on the moon.

Making human bonds has led me to create remarkable relationships with experts in the business including your very self.

Thanks so much for sharing this insightful article!

  5. Hey Ravi,

    How have you been?

Lots of tips for effective use of social media here.

I totally agree with you that, copying any famous blogger can’t take you where your real place is. Everyone has a different skill set and one must use them to reach their true potential.

Social media is overwhelming and being a newbie it becomes a tough choice to limit your time on the different social networks.

It is offcourse good to be active on all the popular networks, but not all works well for everyone. So identify what works best for you and work smart to make the most out of it.

Take care and have a great day ?

  6. Hey Ravi,

I have about 136K+ genuine followers on my Twitter. So, I know Twitter good enough but, after I read this very enlightening article, I really learned a lot.

    Thanks for that.

I have heard that Pinterest is one of the best platforms to bring real traffic to blogs lately. What is your opinion about that? Is it better than all the other social media regards to blog traffic?

I really concern about this because I’ve already started blogging. My blog is very young yet (11 articles), and I wanna learn and practically use these methods.

    1. Hi Nirodha,

Every social media platform is good if you use it the right way. Pinterest is basically for the people who create attractive graphics. You may have never seen the famous marketers and bloggers on Pinterest.

If you’re good with Twitter, stick to it. I never recommend running after everything you read. Just choose only two platforms.

      Cheers

      ~Ravi

      1. Thank you very much for the advice Ravi.

Yes I’m good with the Twitter and what will be the second best platform you suggest to me.

FYI: Yes I do have some graphic knowledge. Facebook and Snapchat are definitely not for me. Instagram is OK.

  7. Ravi,

This is really a wonderful post and you almost cover all the areas in social media marketing.and branding blog in social media.

Hashtag in social media is very important now a days. I think, they work in social media platform almost same as Keywords in Search Engine.
